To search for an exact word or phrase, enclose it within quotes marks (i.e, 'nurse', 'home care nurse' or 'physical therapist').
For a broader search of all variations of a word, or related words and/or phrase, do not enclose your word or phrase within quote marks (i.e., typing the word nurse would return items such as nurse, nurse manager, etc.) Omitting quote marks will search for all instances where any of the specified words appear within a job description.
HomeHealth Visiting Nurses is a fully-licensed, not-for-profit organization caring for patients of all ages. As one of the largest providers of home health care in Maine, we provide nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, home health aide, and counseling services to patients in their homes. Specialty programs include rehabilitation, chronic care management, IV and wound and ostomy care. As the leading provider of pediatric in-home services, we provide no-charge home nursing visits to newborns and mothers, through our collaborative Women and Children’s Health Promotion Grant and a full range of nursing, palliative, developmental and rehabilitative services to children with serious illness. HomeHealth Visiting Nurses proudly delivers comprehensive care with compassion, commitment and the highest standards of excellence.
Our services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, throughout York, Cumberland and southern Oxford counties.
HomeHealth Visiting Nurses is a member of the MaineHealth family.
In addition to home-based services, HHVN also offers community-based clinics, health screenings and immunizations throughout the service area. In 2010, the Community Health Team provided:
• 3,130 foot care, screenings and tests at community clinics
• 25,000 Flu vaccinations
• Health Education and Promotion
Also in 2010, more than 150 volunteers enhanced the work of our agency by donating 12,000 hours to the community. Among many other activities, volunteers manage and staff our Books Revisited stores, which provide “gently read” books to our community at bargain prices. All proceeds are dedicated to pediatric palliative care, hospice and home healthcare services. Through Bergen Bus Tours, our volunteers organize trips to musicals, theater and sporting events with premiere seats for Red Sox games.
HomeHealth Visiting Nurses has a team of over 250 employees, including registered nurses, rehabilitation therapists, nutritionists, medical social workers, home health aides, managers and administrative support. Together, our team of professionals made more than 111,000 home care visits in 2010, helping more than 9,250 patients maintain independence and health.
Our people share a commitment to quality patient-centered care, while working toward our mission of helping people be as healthy and independent as possible, at home and in the community.
Whatever their role, our employees add value to our “TEAM” by adhering to the following principles:
