Working & Living in Maine
Maine is an incredibly diverse state that has something to offer just about everyone. From the lighthouses and jagged coasts of the Atlantic to the east to the rolling mountains and pine trees to the west, the state is every photographer’s dream. And, though our largest cities may not be huge metropolitan hubs, Portland, Bangor and Augusta all offer a variety of cultural, shopping, sporting and gastronomical options that can meet the entertainment and residential needs of any palate.
Working in Maine means you get to play in Maine, and from the leisure perspective, you’ll find the four-season living of our beautiful state charming, exhilarating – or just plain peaceful and relaxing. During the summer enjoy sailing and boating on the ocean or any of our 2000+ lakes and streams; camping and backpacking on the Appalachian trail; swimming and fishing; biking, hiking and golfing. The fall brings the vibrant colors of autumn; in winter, the state is covered in white welcoming skiers, snowshoers and sledders to the many activities available throughout; and in the spring things come alive and it starts all over again.
